Shemaroo has been at the forefront of the infinitely exciting Indian Entertainment Industry since four decades. What began as a family business has blossomed into a smoothly-run professional setup. Located in the heart of the suburban business district- Andheri in Mumbai, 'Shemaroo House' has the best working environment any professional could ask for, with state-of-the-art infrastructure conducive to performance and all facilities under one roof. Shemaroo's modern digital postproduction studio is also housed in the same location.

Over the years, acquiring and distributing various rights for use on cable, satellite, internet and home video, Shemaroo has now evolved and emerged as the top source of Broadcast Content for leading Entertainment Channels and is today popularly known as a major 'Content House' for Hindi films. Shemaroo acquires rights for not only Indian territories but also overseas markets and in some cases world rights as well. Shemaroo owns the Satellite and Cable rights for over 700 films, VCD and DVD rights for over 1000 films and the terrestrial television rights (India and whole world) for more than 150 films.

The Home Video Division is second to none in India, with a catalogue of more than 1000 titles including several mega-hit films.

Shemaroo has also made a direct foray into film-making with its Films Division. 'Omkara', under Shemaroo's banner, was a massive success. 'Maaza Navra Tuzi Baiko' – was Shemaroo's first film in the regional category and it was the highest grosser movie in Marathi Cinema for the year 2006.
