DIRECTOR'S STATEMENT

As we pass through the numerous crossroads of life we come across many who accompany us in this journey of myriad experiences. Underlying this is a resonance, a chord which strikes between two people. The resonance of each chord struck is different and unique with its own meaning and significance. At various moments and thresholds of our life we experience different kinds of bonds and emotional attachments with different kinds of people.

Such experiences and relationships, whose resonance continues to reverberate, have inspired me to create "Anuranan," which is the story of such a resonance as reflected through Preeti and Rahul and the bond they share. The understanding between Preeti and Nandita at the end of the story when their individual worlds are broken to bits and pieces also signifies a new resonance that has been struck. It signifies a new beginning for two people who will grow and nurture each other meaningfully in days to come.
